BURNABY, BC — October 16, 2026 — Anodyne Chemistries Inc. ("Anodyne") today announced that it has been named to Cleantech Group's 2026 Cleantech 50 to Watch, an annual list of 50 early-stage companies from around the world poised to shape where cleantech goes next. Released on October 14, this year's list features companies from 12 countries.

The Cleantech 50 to Watch is selected through nominations from a global panel of investors, corporates and industry experts, combined with in-depth analysis by Cleantech Group's research team. This year's report notes a market moving past the "green premium" toward a premium on sovereignty and security, with investors and corporates prioritizing technologies that strengthen energy supply, critical materials and resilient domestic supply chains.

Anodyne is building a new way to make chemicals. Its manufacturing platform pairs electrochemistry with proprietary immobilized enzymes and metal catalysts to convert CO₂, water and renewable electricity into formate, formic acid and specialty chemicals. Unlike gas-phase electrolysis, Anodyne's process runs entirely in water at ambient conditions, and its catalyst library spans biological and metal catalysts, giving the company a pathway across formates, aldehydes and alcohols, including methanol and hexanol.

"Being named to the Cleantech 50 to Watch is a tremendous recognition for our team," said Iain Evans, CEO and co-founder of Anodyne Chemistries. "The chemical industry is looking for supply it can count on: local, low-carbon and cost-competitive. Anozymes™ lets us make the molecules industry needs from CO₂ and clean electricity, close to where they're used. We're grateful to Cleantech Group and the expert panel, and we're focused on turning this momentum into commercial plants."

"Our chemistry has been built from the enzyme up to be practical at scale," said Manou Davies, co-founder and CTO of Anodyne Chemistries. "This recognition reflects years of work by our scientists and engineers moving Anozymes™ from the lab bench to the pilot plant."

The recognition comes as Anodyne advances from pilot scale toward commercialization. Anodyne is now advancing plans for its first commercial plant.
